Trying different things...

It's been an interesting couple of weeks. 
I've struggled with focus, with narrowing down my attention to a single project or topic or idea.
I wrote a little more on one of my longer works-in-progress (book 1 in my sisters series) but it was only coming out a page or so at a time, and last night I couldn't stop thinking about the 3rd book I'm planning for that series.
Two days ago I wrote a stand-alone short story.
Today I wrote a song, complete with lyrics, a beat, and a bluesy melody. Now if only I had a keyboard or a voice that can still hit and hold the desired notes...
(Anybody got a big, bluesy alto voice I can borrow?)

In other news, tomorrow is a big day here in the Twin Cities, as it's the grand opening of the permanent location of Tropes & Trifles, our new dedicated romance bookshop!

This is very exciting for me as a voracious reader but also as a writer; I'm going to do my first in-person signing event there, from 3-4:30.
Better still, I'll get to meet author Denise Williams, whose contemporary romances I really enjoy! She'll be signing from 1-2:30.
Grand Opening day lasts from 11-6 CT and they're expecting a crowd. If you'd like to shop during a masked time period, come between 3 and 5pm. And be sure to stop by and say hi to me!
